About Us

Launched in August 2020, SJSU’s Office for Faculty Success is the foundation for the professional engagement and long-term success of our esteemed tenure-line and lecturer faculty. Led by Senior Vice Provost and Accreditation Liaison Officer Magdalena Barrera, the office manages all aspects of the faculty experience, from recruitment and onboarding, through all career milestones to retirement. The office includes the team of experts at the Center for Faculty Excellence and Teaching Innovation (CFETI), who provide support for all faculty-related needs.
