Staff Council Hiking Group
The SJSU Staff Council hosts hiking activities on the weekend for staff and their families. Staff have the opportunity to meet staff from across campus and build stronger relationships with their colleagues.
Join Us!
Please join the Google chat group "Hiking Group (SJSU Staff Council)" and "Spartan Social Squad." In "Hiking Group (SJSU Staff Council)," individual members can suggest hikes, and hiking schedules and updates are given. "Spartan Social Squad" suggests all kinds of events around the Bay Area.
Common Questions
How often do you hike?
We will try for once a month, but may need to adjust our schedule based on staff availability, holiday seasons, and health and safety guidelines.
Who can come?
All SJSU and auxiliary staff members are welcome to join us! Feel free to bring a friend or a family member. We'd love to get to know you outside of the work setting!
How difficult are the hikes?
Trail difficulty will vary each hike. We will plan for moderate hikes and will maintain a pace that allows everyone to succeed. However, it can be difficult to judge the intensity of a hike. Please come prepared with food and water and plan accordingly if it might exceed your abilities.Past Hikes
