Event Parking

SJSU Event Hosts

• For large event that required security, please visit Special Event web page for more information
• Guest/reserved event parking permits can be purchased by filling out the Event Parking Request Form [pdf].
• SJSU event hosts should encourage visitors to download the Parkmobile app in advance for faster and more convenient visitor parking payments. 
• SJSU Affiliated parking permits are not valid during Special Event.  A valid event parking permit is required.
• Please note: Permit is valid only within the applicable date and time range based on the purchase date and time. Permits purchased before the effective date are valid from the effective date and time through expiration, and permits purchased on or after the effective date are valid from the purchase date and time through expiration. Permits are not retroactive and are valid only through the listed expiration date and time. Parking outside the valid date and time range requires a separate valid parking permit.

Parking for events at the Event Center

• Pricing for guests at events that are designated “External” will be charged the event rate for each vehicle. (discounted pre-purchased event parking may be available on our pre-purchase event permit page depending on the type of event and agreement with event organizer)

Parking for Internal Event

• If you were invited by a department to come to an event, check with the department for parking arrangement.
• If you attend an event on campus and you are not being sponsored by a department, you will need to purchase Virtual Single Day or Hourly permits through ParkMobile App or self-service Permit Paystations.  We recommend downloading the ParkMobile app before arriving at SJSU for faster and move convenient visitor parking payments.  Self-service permit paystations are located at the following locations:
• North Garage (65 S 10th St, San Jose, CA 95192), 1st Floor by elevators
• South Garage (377 S 7th St, San Jose, CA 95192), Section 3A, Section 4H, or 1st floor exterior
• West Garage (450 S 4th St, San Jose, CA 95192), section 1A and Section 3C.

PLEASE NOTE:  Event attendees for large events at the Event Center will need to pay the event parking rate.

Visitor/guest virtual parking permit is valid in any General parking space not designated for any other use (such as Employee parking).  Paystations accept Visa/MasterCard and coins, $1, $5 bills (Exact change only. Paystations do not give out change.  NO REFUND WILL BE GIVEN FOR OVERPAYMENT). See Parking Maps.
