Bio
Ismaila Diallo is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Meteorology and Climate Science and a Researcher at the Wildfire Interdisciplinary Research Center (WIRC) at San José State University (SJSU). He earned a M.Sc. in Meteorology and a Ph.D. in Climate and Climatic Impacts from Cheikh Anta Diop University in Senegal. His research interests are in Climate Sciences and Dynamic Meteorology. Dr. Diallo's work promarily focuses on land surface modeling; land-atmosphere-ocean interactions; climate variability, change, and anomalies; the predictability of extreme events--particularly rainfall; monsoon systems; regional climate downscaling; and wildfires.
