Bio
Dr. Arvinder P. S. Loomba is a Professor of International Business and Innovation Management in the School of Management, Lucas College of Business, at San José State University, California, USA. He has received teaching award/citations and has taught extensively in academic and executive education programs at various educational institutions in US and abroad. He teaches in the area of International Business, Project Management (for various industries: hi-tech, accounting, transportation, nursing, biotechnology, clinical trials, etc.), Managing Product Development, Managing Medical Product Development, Operations Management, Supply Chain Management, Sustainable Supply Chains, and Service Management.
Dr. Loomba has served as the Fulbright Specialist Roster in the areas of business administration and medical product development. He was also appointed as the Sabbatical Fellow in Clinical Research Management at the National Institutes of Health (NIH). He has also served as a Lucas Research Fellow, on University Sustainability Board, and as director of Pacific Rim Institute, all at SJSU. He is widely quoted on globalization issues by local, national, and global media. He has considerable global experience in project consulting and corporate training for multinationals firms throughout USA and in China, Korea, India, and Japan. He is an area expert on global supply chain offshoring projects, focusing on Asia, and has delivered keynote addresses in Japan and India. His research interests include projects in infrastructure, health care, and humanitarian aspects, sustainability, supply chains, global outsourcing, among others. He serves as editor, on several editorial boards, and publishes extensively in academic journals, and has authored scholarly grants.
